A Quick Trip to Tagaytay

Tagaytay must be one of the go-to places by those looking for a quick getaway and escape from the Metropolitan life. It is near Manila, plus there are a lot of available accommodation, and to top it all out, a lot of chill places where you and your friends can hang out.

We stayed at a house rented via Airbnb; we were 7 in our group and the house offered 3 bedrooms, and 4 baths, not bad for the price of Php 850/head right?

Among other things, Tagaytay is well-known to be the perfect place to have Bulalo, especially for dinner when the air feels the right amount of cold. Definitely the right place to wear your favorite hoodie/jacket.

Quick Tips:

  • If you are planning to stay for a weekend, or more try booking a house via Airbnb. It is definitely a lot cheaper than hotel rates per night — if you prefer to cook that is.
  • Staying at a hotel is also okay, especially if you are more after the relaxing part of a trip. It is the perfect spot to have a staycation too.
  • Don’t worry about finding the right place to eat. Restaurants are everywhere, literally! Just pick one, and that’s it. Tagaytay food is great, one of the must try dishes in the area is their tawilis together with Bulalo, you are good to go!
  • If you plan to move around places here, make sure to have your car. It is much more convenient that way. I know there are buses going to Nasugbu that passes through Tagaytay, but commuting and relaxing does not really sound good together, right?

Time to talk about one of the famous pasalubongs from the area, BUKO PIE! Personally, I’ve always been a fan of Original Buko Pie, but recently, I’ve tried Cecilia’s Buko Pie which we were able to purchase at Diner’s — MUST HAVE!! The taste is not too sweet, and simply just right!

P.S. we’ve managed to swing by Escala Tagaytay, and the place is just amazing. Add to that, the view is simply breathtaking! ❤
